A
warm, 4 star, welcome from May and Mick is assured when you
come to stay with us. 2009 is our 9th year in residence, during
which time all our rooms have been fully refurbished to a
very high standard. We aim to provide a friendly and comfortable
"home from home" at excellent value, helping you
to gain the most from your holiday. The doors to our house
are always open to friends, new and old. We are a family guest
house where children of all ages are truly made welcome. A
happy smile, bright surroundings and good food will add to
the enjoyment of your visit to Great Yarmouth.
Sandy
Acres is accredited to the English Tourist Board's WELCOME
HOST programme.
Awarded
4 stars for the quality of our accommodation and hospitality
by Visit Britain (formerly English Tourist Board)
We have
again retained our 5 stars award for food safety & hygiene
by the Environmental Health Department |
Please
note we are non-smoking throughout

We are
proud to fly our flags as May is from Scotland and Mick is
from England.
We
are situated about 200 metres from the seafront, less than
1 mile from the town centre shops & market, and 10 minutes
walk from the Racecourse. Almost on our doorstep is a Post
Office, McColl's General Store & Newsagent, Launderette,
Pizza & Kebab take-away, fish & chip shop, a bakery,
hairdresser & solarium, betting
shop and several pubs. There is also a bus stop handy for
days when you don't fancy the stroll to the town centre or
you want to go further afield. |

Accessibility
We try to do our utmost to cater for our guests’
needs as far as is practicable. All guests are checked in and
given a “guided tour” of their room and the public
areas by ourselves, not left to find their way around.
Access into Sandy Acres from the street is via one step up to
the patio, one step up to the door then a small step over the
door threshold. The front door is 1200 mm wide.
We have 10 guest bedrooms over 3 floors, 1 on the ground floor,
6 on the first floor (there is a stair lift to this floor) and
3 on the second floor. The second floor is accessed via winding
stairs and is not suitable for those with breathing or mobility
difficulties.
From the ground floor there is one step down into the dining room.
We have extensive experience with food allergies, particularly
dairy, wheat & gluten intolerances, as May has Coeliacs disease.
Please, if you have any specific requirements, phone us on 01493
856553 to discuss your needs.
We do not accept pets, only guide dogs.
